S avings Bonds sales in th e s ta te to talle d $3,295,511, a jum p of over a m illion dollars over th e sam e m o n th in 1953. T he increase am ounted to 47%, and w as again achieve in the face o f th e lum ber in d u stry strike. P la n s a re now underw ay for an all out effort for th e rem ain d er ot th e y e a r to reach O regon’s q u o ta of $37,500,000 T re a s u ry De- p a rtm e n t officials, he stid, em p h a size in th e stro n g est te rm s the need of re-financing increasing m a tu ritie s of W ar Bonds th ro u g h th e sale of S avings Bonds.
