T h e highw ay safety drive w as stressed at th e recent Oregon S ta te G range session at Albany, according to G range M as te r and Mrs. F red G ustafson who were the d eleg ates from C hetco Grange. It was announced th a t th e pe titions for th e fo rm atio n of a F ire P ro tectio n D istrict betw een the Chetco R iver and th e S ta te line a re ready to be sent to th e County C ourt, and if they find the required n u m ber of eligible signers a h earin g and election SHORTY CIRCUIT 5 Brookings-Harbor Pilot on the proposed d istric t will be calk'd by th e C ounty Judge. Mr. M ilbourn w as born M ay 14, 1886, in W ashington sta te . He was 68 at th e tim e of his death.
