their re g u la r m eeting last F r i­
day evening, thus backing up the
Oregon S ta te G range in its e f­
forts for g re a te r safety on the
highways. T h e highw ay safety
drive w as stressed at th e recent
Oregon S ta te G range session at
Albany, according to G range M as­
te r and Mrs. F red G ustafson who
were the d eleg ates from C hetco
Grange.
It was announced th a t th e pe­
titions for th e fo rm atio n of a
F ire P ro tectio n D istrict betw een
the Chetco R iver and th e S ta te
line a re ready to be sent to th e
County C ourt, and if they find
the required n u m ber of eligible
signers a h earin g and election
