This is state-w ide. The three highest scores are sent in each week. At the end of the contest the club w ith the highest score will be adjudged winner. Last Sunday, Dale Sm ith and Lawrence Anderson made perfect scores 25. Fred Anderson made a 91 A turkey shoot was held follow ing the telegraphic shoot, Sunday and Cliff Brim won a ham and a turkey. A ltogether nine turkeys and four hams, as wbll as two dozen fryers and hens were won by the scatter-gun artists. Chetco Rod & Gun Club meets the second Tuesday of each month a t the club house on Benham land, H arbor, at 8 p. m. This little lady of 76 i years is a real incentive for other» to get busy and accomplish a few things. j --------------------------------------- 7 6 -Year-Old Lady Shows Fortitude The courage and cheerfulness of Mrs. M errill, m other of Mrs. Archie Hendricks, would m ake most younger women, and men too, blush in shame for their lack of fortitude in a difficult situation. Failing eyesight has denied her the pleasure of intricate hand work and reading of favorite m ag azines o r books, but perhaps most of all the correspondence with old friends and distant relatives.
