Mrs. Gilbert Christensen also played the Holy City as a violin solo, accompa nied by her sister and Mrs. Wal ter J. Galbraith sang “Holy Spirit, Light Divine,” with a violin obligato played by Mrs. Christensen. The new pastor, Manson Met calf, was the speaker, taking lor his key text II Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love, and of a sound mind,” and brought out that in these days when fear of what the future may bring is filling men’s hearts, it is comforting to a Christian to know that through His Word God has |given assurance that when all is fully surrendered to Him, there is no need to fear for then one may have the sense of God’s presence which brings the peace that passes all understand ing.
