Sabbath school teachers meeting,
The church service began at
10:45 with fifteen minutes of
special music. Mr. Peterson of
Pacific Union College played a
violin solo accompanied by his
wife at the piano. Mrs. Gilbert
Christensen also played the Holy
City as a violin solo, accompa
nied by her sister and Mrs. Wal
ter J. Galbraith sang “Holy
Spirit, Light Divine,” with a
violin obligato played by Mrs.
Christensen.
The new pastor, Manson Met
calf, was the speaker, taking lor
his key text II Timothy 1:7, “For
God hath not given us the spirit
of fear, but of power and of love,
and of a sound mind,” and
brought out that in these days
when fear of what the future
may bring is filling men’s hearts,
it is comforting to a Christian to
know that through His Word
God has |given assurance that
when all is fully surrendered to
Him, there is no need to fear for
then one may have the sense of
God’s presence which brings the
peace that passes all understand
