County Commissioner Jaspar Yoakam attended the regular meeting of the county court on Wednesday and the welfare meet ing that afternoon. C. H. Brooks also attended. Ethel Cornick of Coos Bay vis ited Saturday night here, and Sunday took her mother. Mrs. S. E. Cheevers to Powers for a day’s outing. Girl Scouts held their regular meeting Wednesday at Sports mens club. Mrs. Archie Aldropp, leader, and six were present. Two new girls, Mary and Marilyn Shoup, joined the group. Refresh ments of cake and kool-aid were served by Jeannette Thompson and Thelma Tucker. For this meeting they will take an all day hike to Humbug Mountain.
