STEVENSO N Brookings, Oregon D ear E ditor: In your recent report of ouro visit about my a n nual trip, to see my lilies, you published th a t I had been east. I had been a t San Francisco. It makes our eastern friends won der why I didn’t call on them while east. How do I like the price set by the co-op and dealers? Fine, someone had to have the courage to set it.. Of course, it would have been more ideal if more of the grow ers could have had a voice in it. Now th a t it is done the rest of us will ju st stick to it. Only so m any bulbs can be sold regardless of the price. 15c, 20c. 25c. and 30c would have sold w hat lilies will be sold just as quickly as 10, 20, 25 and 30. Last year more bulbs couldn't b*» sold no m a tte r how low the price. T h e y couldn’t be given away. Now, some of the dealers are complaining bitterly because the price has been set so low. Do you know how to please everybody? Please send method. N either dealers nor greenhouses w ant cheaper bulbs. They want less b u lb s—Mrs. May Stafford.
