It is expected that quite a crowd of followers of the princesses from the various high schools, will be on nand to see who will win the coveted honor of being “Azalea Queen” to reign for one year from now. There is, on the part of local people, a duty to perform, regardless of whether or not they plan to attend the hall—that is, to buy a ticket anyway. Every dollar spent this way will mean that much more toward the success of the festival which is des tined to make this area nationally known. SECOND GRADE Monday morning we went to the Brookings school to practice cur songs for the music festival. Twenty-one of us got 100 in Spelling. Tuesday. We finished o u r Democracy readers last week and had a test. Vonda Vaughn, Glenn Stewart, and Bobby Page gave some book report-; on books they had read. All were interesting. Tuesday afternoon we heard part of the first grade read. They are good readers. We finished making our May baskets. FIRST GRADE Lana Woody brought another tar of pollywogs to school. She took them home Friday so they could be taken care of over the week-end Most of them now- have hind legs Monday morning we practiced on the stage at Brookings for the music festival.
