Sullivan of R eedsport visited Mr. and Mrs. A ugust Johnson over the holi days. Mr. and Mrs. C harles Low left S a tu rd a y for Salem , where Mrs. Low will be employed during the session of legislature. They were accom panied to Salem by Mrs. Goldie V. Sm ith, local postm aster, who will visit a week with her son, who has been quite ill <^f late. Mr. and Mrs. R. V. G uerretaz retu rn ed la te last week from S a n ta Monica, Calif., where they had spent the holidays with his brother, J. M. G uerrettaz, and other relatives. Mr. G uerrettaz becam e ill w ith flu upon arrival home, and w as confined to his home for a few days. The Ja n u a ry C learance sale, advertised last week by Moore’s V ariety & Apparel Shop, was a success, in excess of expectations, Mrs. M adge More told the Pilot. With 34 degree minimum, Brookings was reported to be the warmest spot on the coast, which underwent a cold wave last w’eek. They expect to make a trip to San Francisco and Los Angeles soon for the same purpose.
