th a t’s the time of the year th at

liberalism to the ant.
It’s the time of year
when you keep the
house as warm as the
time you kicked about
it last summer.
It's the season when peoples’ \
minds turn to skiing. You know\
w hat a skiier is? He’s a fellow \

Blair Gould got his equipm ent
Monday of this week. Should we
tell on him ? Well, you know th a t
his sole-saving equipment was to
have been shipped on Dec. 19.
Came New Years and no m a
chinery, with B lair just a fit sub
ject for one of those padded cells.
Well, Blair gave vent to his big
spleen over the telephone, and
now’ we know why no one could
call Portland the rest of the
w’eek until linemen had been out
to repair the damage.
Blair will have his shoe shop
in operation soon, and m y how
he will repair shoes to m ake up
for those lost hours. Congratula
tions to the new business of this
area. Give him a hand, fellas.
Silly, isn’t it. Well,
here is something sen
