Latter Day Saints Re-Count Asked Sheriff Election CRESCENT CITY—A re quest for a re-count of the ballots in the Nov. 5. elec tion which gave Chas. Glover a lead of 23 votes victor over his opponent, Deputy Sher iff Frank J. Blackerby, was filed with the County Clerk, Emma Cooper, Dec. 5. The pe tition, which was signed by supporters of Blackerby, state th at there were several vio lations at the polls. It is said that there was intimidation by a toy pistol, at one of the poling places in the county. In one of the polling places in the Smith River district, it is said the polls closed several minutes before official closing nme. Several ballots were dis carded due to the signing of pen and pencil which were supposed to be counted, hut were rejected, throughout the different polls in the county.
