CALENDAR Eugene Beer Week is an annual celebration of great local IPAs, stouts, sours, pilsners and everything else imaginable in the world of beer. The week starts with some events as early as Saturday, June 3, and goes through Sunday, June 11. There are over 50 events throughout the week, so check them all out at eugenebeerweek.org. Visit The Bier Stein’s parking lot (1591 Willamette Street) from noon to 8 pm on Saturday, June 3, for The Bier Stein Invitational Beer Fest. There will be over 30 breweries (plus non-alcoholic beverage options), food from Oregon Wood Fired Pizza and live music. Entry is $5 for designated drivers and $20 for regular patrons. On Tuesday, June 6, stop by Cornucopia on 5th (207 E. 5th Avenue) from 9-11:30 pm to participate in the Ninkasi Coloring Contest. There will be featured Ninkasi brews on tap. The winner of the coloring contest will receive a Ninkasi hoodie. The event is free. On Wednesday, June 7, Ninkasi is holding a class, Beer 101: How to Taste a Beer, at the Ninkasi Admin Bldg. (155 Blair Boulevard). It’s at 5 pm and is free, but RSVP is required. RSVP info can be found on Eugene Beer Week’s website. End the week with the Summer Sour Sundays Kick-off Event at Beergarden (777 W. 6th Avenue) from noon to 8 pm on Sunday, June 11. Four sour ales will be available at Beergarden’s outdoor bar every Sunday for all of June.
