As far as traditions go, this is one for the record books. Beginning in 1922, the North Douglas Fair has been a non stop tradition, even during the Covid pandemic era. Fair coordinators are returning for 2024 with vendors and food trucks, events, games, entertainment and music to enjoy in the heart of the summer. Located at the Drain Civic Center and the historic Methodist Church, the Fair is a mainstay event for North Douglas County communities like Yoncalla, Elkton, Rice Hill, Scottsburg, Curtin, Cottage Grove and Drain and beyond. The North Douglas County Fair will be returning with a schedule filled with belly dancing performances, fire shows and fire juggling classes. Artists will feature their work in the fair’s exhibit hall while car enthusiasts will be showing off their American muscle during the car show.
