Pictured with the unit are board secretary Jim Duff, Suburban Ford owner Jerry Jaksich, S and Sandy F ire Chief Gary Connelly. Duff arranged the dona tion of the |3,000-plus blade, which will be used to clean driveways and pathways at the fire stations. The 7’-foot-wide blade can be moved up and down, and sideways. Cooperative has openings The Sandy Cooperative Preschool has openings in its class for 3-year- olds. The class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m . Science teacher joins project W a lte r Scott, a science teacher at C edar Ridge m iddle school, has been selected by the Oregon Departm ent of Education to represent Clackam as County on the Science Cadre Project The group w ill assess w hat is being taught at a ll grade levels in Oregon, and then fo rm u late guidelines for science curriculum s. “ W e feel i t ’s an honor having so meone who is good enough to be selected to the Science Cadre P ro je c t,” s a id Rex H u n s a k e r, superintendent. Cost of the class is $20 per month, and there is a $30 registration fee.
