The townspeople of Sandy have again given generously to the 79th an nual fund d riv e across N orth America to provide relief for the underprivileged, according to infor mation from the Sandy Seventh-day Adventist Church. Medical and educational centers also benefited. Over $1,200 was donated statewide during this year’s appeal. About 13 percent of this money returns to Sandy. Last year the Dor- cas Society, a community service organization of the Adventist Church, gave out hundreds of pieces of bed ding, clothing and foodstuffs. Worldwide, through a ll Adventist m inistries, 2,540,614 people received 9,058,667 articles of clothing. Cash and food values exceeded $6.5 m illio n . V o lu n te e rs w o rld w id e donated 2.7 m illion hours in combin ed relief efforts. People in Sandy donated food, clothing and money. Ashley joins Baird family Ron and Renee Baird of Corbett welcomed Ashley Madison Baird to the fam ily on Nov. 20. She weighed 7 pounds and measured 21 inches. She joins five sisters.
