For Boring stables Thwr» School menus Horse arena hearing set A Boring man who wants to put on horse shows and board horses at the old Mt Hood Stables w ill ask the Clackamas County hear ings officer for an inter pretation on his conditional use application next Mon day, June 7 W alter Dorrough w ill meet with the hearings of ficer at 3 p m at the D e p a rtm e n t of En vironmental Services. 902 Abernethy Road. Oregon City, to discuss his plans for the site He is seeking an inter pretation of the determina tion of the the Clackamas County Planning Division staff that an earlier condi tional use permit for a riding stable became in valid when a sim ilar per m it was OKd for General Telephone Company. At one time, the u tility was going to use the fa c ili ty, on the south side of Highway 26, at its intersec tion with SE Lariat Lane in Boring, to house its equip Sandy ment That plan was later abandoned. Dorrough would like a conditional use permit to use the property as a riding stable horse arean, to board horses and hold horse shows Up to 190 horses would be boarded on the property Approximately 10 horse shows per year would ultim ately be held on the property, currently zoned ru r a l re s id e n tia l fa rm forest, w ith a five-acre minimum lot size. All the money generated by the increase- estimated to be $11.3 m illion—w ill go to the state General Fund sell now that the increase is in effect. They were re quired to inventory their stock on hand on their last business day in May and m ust file sp e cia l ta x returns by June 20. Kennedy Boring resident Richard Lee Kennedy died May 26 at the Wood Park Hospital. Born March 17, 1901 in Rockland. Wis., he was 81 years old at the time of his death He lived in Wisconsin un til he moved to Boring in 1961 He had worked for the Marsh Fur Farm He m a rrie d D e lp h ia Baker on A pril 19. 1965 in Vancouver, Wash She died in 1974 An avid out- doorsman, Mr Kennedy loved fishing, hunting and gardening He is survived by his th re e sons, C a rl o f Portland, Richard of Con don, and Robert of New Hampshire; two brothers, Joe of Kendell, Wis., and Calvin of Ontario, Wis.; a sister, Nettie Brooks of Osseo, Wis,; 13 grand children and 11 g re a t grandchildren. Funeral services were held May 29 at Carroll Funeral Home chapel in Gresham. Interment was at the F o re s t L a w n Cemetery in Gresham. Hiltbruner L a u re n F ra n k Hiltbruner, of Zigzag, died May 27 from injuries suf fered in an automobile ac cident on Lolo Pass Road He was 22 Funeral services were held June 1 in the chapel of Sandy Funeral Home He was born July 5, 1959, in Tacoma, Wash The following year, his fam ily moved to Oregon and in 1965 made their home near Zigzag M r. H iltb ru n e r com ple te d his e le m e n ta ry e d u ca tio n at W elches School and attended Sandy Union High School. He had worked with his father running a sawmill and a horse logging opera tion. She died Monday in a G re sh a m h o s p ita l o f cancer She was 82 Born Florence Leona Coveau in Wisconsin Aug 26, 1899, she attended school there and married Fred A. Lambert on Oct. 27, 1917. They moved to Oregon in 1943 and lived in Florence and Sandy He died in November 1971 She was a homemaker Survivors include four sons, A rthur of Cheyenne, Wyo., James of Portland, Donald of Sumpter, Wash , and Gerald of Troutdale; three daughters, Gertrude Wood, Dora Calhoun and Donna Parsley, all of Bor ing; four brothers, three sisters, and 13 g ra n d children.
