HOSSNER Walter E, Hossner, Rt. 3, Box 885, Boring,form er Clack amas County deputy sheriff and Sandy Chief of Police, died March 12 In a Yakima, Wash, hospital. Hossner was born In Trout dale March 22, 1903, attend«*d schools In Troutdale aid Gresh am and was a life-long resident of the Gresham area. He spent two years on the Portland Police force, was Sandy Chief of Police for five years and served as a Clacka mas County Sheriff’ s deputy for eight years. Besides police work he had been with Oregon State Game Commission and with Webster Funeral Service. Hossner retired four years ago, but had been a bus d river for the Saidy schools. Potluck refreshments were served after the meeting, and a very good program was pre sented by a visiting grange. The socializing and good times continued through until almost midnight. Francis Alderson has been “ under the weather’ ’ this week, and we hope she’ s better soon.
