Hood Lanes between Jan. 17-30 it has been announced. Bowlers in Oregon will have a chance to help the Cancer So ciety and also shoot tor many valuable prizes at the same time. The “Bowl Down Cancer’’ program Is sponsored by the Bowling Proprietors Associa tion of Oregon and approved by the WIBC and ABC. It is a statewide event but not a na tional event Grand prize in both the men and women divisions of the event are 1966 Volkswagen sedans. There are 28 other prizes in the mens division and 27 in the womens division which will be awarded in conjunction with the bowling event Further Information is avail able through the various bowl ing leagues. (Post Photo) Grand Opening activities of Williams Thriftway tn Sandy continues into its second week as folks continue to marvel at the modern supermarket which opened here in December. Bob Williams, store owner, said this week that area residents turned out well for the first weeks opening festivities. The modern facility features many of the latest innovations in grocery store design and equipment. During the opening sctlvlty the store is offering Devecka Soars To Nordic Win Mike Devecka, attending Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo,, entered his first national college ski meet over the Christmas holdlays, with eight colleges competing. The cross country meet, held at Steamboat Springs, had forty entries, with Mike finishing seventh, and his school second place. The jumping event was held at Winter Park, Colo., due to lack of enough snow at Steamboat Springs. He placed 16th out of thirty rive entries. The next three weekends he will compete at Durango, Win ter Park, Cota., and Park City, Utah, respectively. Holding Hands?
