E llis of Langlois and the bridegroom Is the son of M r. and M rs . M arlon R. B owk an of Bandon. The bride, given In m arriage by her father, was elegantly at tired In a floor length gown de signed of white slipper satin and bodice covered with Chan tilly lace, featuring a sweet- h e a r t neckline and fingertip sleeves. An applique of bro caded roses aixl seed pearl clusters encircled the skirt. The bridal gown was designed by the bride and fashioned by M rs . George Chappell of Ban don. She wore a fingertip veil of a rose designed scalloped crown with seed pearls and crystals Inset with a crystal tear drop In front. She carried a bouquet of yellow rose buds and white stephanotls w it h white satin stream ers on a white prayer book with the groom’ s mother’ s handkerchief enclosed and wore h er mother’ s pearls. Candlellghters were cousins of the bride, Rudy and Gordon Sherych of Coos Bay. Nuptial organ music was pro vided by Bonnie Jensen of Langlois who also accompanied the soloist, M rs . Lester H ill of Port O rford. "Because” and "T h e Lord’ s P r a y e r ” were sung by M rs . H ill, the form er M ildred Anderson of North Bend who sang at the wedding of the b ride’ s parents In Coos Bay 26 years ago. Miss Sandy Dearborn of Pen dleton was maid of h o n o r . Bridesmaids were M rs . Bob Woodworth of Seaside, and a cousin of the bride, M iss Susan Sherych of Coos Bay. The at tendants w o r e floor length gowns of yellow rayon acetate with a flowing separate panel, set In belt with a bow In front and v’d back necklines. Head pieces were yellow velvet bows covered with yellow tu lle, and each carried a single yellow long-stemmed rose with white satin stream ers. Johnnie Botz, son of M r. and M rs. John Botz of Langlois, was ring bearer. M IL L E R IS BEST MAN S t e v e n M ille r , b ro th e r-in - law of the bridegroom, was best man. Other attendants were Bob Woodworth and Je rry Cox. Ush ers were Don Smith, Alan Haga, Rudy and Gordon Sherych. A reception followed In the grade school cafeteria with a background of yellow pleated curtains with white bells. A r rangements of yellow and white daffodils decorated the large room. The fo ur-tiered b rid e’ s cake was served by Judy M yers and C a rla Hubbell of P o rt Orford. Presiding at the coffee service was M rs. Steven M ille r , sis te r of the bridegroom. L a d e l l n g punch was Edie C larke of Port O rford. M ary Lee Geer attended the gift table while M ary Ann Deets and Diane Hag* registered the guests. i. Passing the groom’ s cake and rice cups were Diane Haga and Janell W ilcox, all of Langlois. F or her daughter’ s wedding, M rs . E llis chose a beige and brown lace dress with beige ac cessories and wore a yellow carnation corsage. M rs. Bow man, mother of the bridegroom, wore a pink chiffon dress and Jacket with white accessories and wore a white carnation cor sage. The b ride’ s grandmother, M rs . Rudy Sherych of Reeds port, wore a pink and white suit with white accessories, and a pink and white corsage. F o r going away, the new M rs . Bowman selected a three-piece m arine blue knit suit, trim m ed In white and complemented with white accessories. She wore a yellow rosoHid corsage from her bridal bouquet. Both the bride and groom w ere graduates of Pacific High School and attended Southern Oregon College at Ashland. Bowman is now stationed at F ort S ill, O xla., w h e r e the couple w ill make th eir firs t home. The wedding cake was baked and decorated by M rs. W alter Buss of Roseburg, and ladles of the Langlois Town and Country Christian Women’ s club were In charge of the reception a r rangements.
