The quail sea son will continue In eastern Oregon through Jan. 6 to run concurrently with the chukar and Hungarian partridge season which will also extend through Jan. 6. Hunters are urged to check the regulations carefully for bag lim its on pheasants. REPORT by Terry Sweeney ITED TESTS GIVEN ITED tests, which are given yearly to Freshmen and Juniors were given October 11 thru 14, The purpose of the Iowa Test of Educational Development Is to show the students what they learned In their years at school and to show the students in what area he needs more study. The tests were given by Miss Motz,the ntw counselor. The tests were given in the morning to one class and in the afternoon to the other class. RECEIVES SCHOLARSHIP Mildred Libby was awarded an Honors Scholarship by the admissions Department at the recent Convocation at Cascade C ollege. Miss Libby received this scholarship and correspond ing Honors at Entrance as a result of graduating in the upper ten per cent of het class last spring at Pacific High School, She plans to graduate from Cascade with the Class of 1969. ATTEND CONFERENCE by Bill Krick Five journalism students and their ad.visor attended the 39th annual Oregon High School Press Conference last Friday and Sat urday at Eugene. The annual event, held on the campus of the University of Oregon, hosted more than 900 student journal ists this year. Students from Pacific making the trip were Bill Krick, Terry Sweeney, Scott Munson, Charles Sheffield, Guy Lawrence and the advisor Mr. Baird. The top men and women in the field of school journalism and yearbook editing were the leaders of the conference. Photo grapher Irving Lloyd, and the editor of Scholastic Magazine Mrs. Kathleen Leabo, were two of the many featured speakers.
