Hermanos Aleman sirven en las fuerzas armadas by Julie Behar George and Florentino Aleman, the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Florentino Aleman of the Charles Sitton Camp near McMinnville, are both in the U.S. Armed Forces. Mr. Aleman is foreman of the camp. George, who is 20 years old and in the Marine Corps, was stationed for 13 months in Vietnam and has just finished one month of leave. "It was a very difficult 13 months. There was lots of walking, tension and hard times. But it's got to be done," George commented, "and I was glad to be there doing my part." In Vietnam, George suffered malaria at two different times for IV2 months on each occasion. For his service in Vietnam, George re ceived an Expeditionary Medal, and a National Defense Medal. Last Monday, after a one month leave, which he spent picking in the field, George was sent to Camp Pendleton in California where he w ill receive further training. Tjno, who is 21 and has been in the Air Force for three years with 11 months to go, decided to take his leave at the same time as his brother "because it may be awhile before we'll see each other again," he said. .. . Tino was at first stationed in Armarillo, Texas, but has spent the last two years near Frankfurt, Ger many. He has travelled to many European countries including Eng land, Spain, France, Holland and Sweden, and explained that Eng land is his favorite. After his leave is over, Tino w ill return to Ger many. Jorge y Florentino Alemán, hijos de los señores Alemán de encamp amento de Charles Sitton cerca de McMinnville, están ambos en las fuerzas armadas de los EEUU. El Sr. Alemán es el mayordomo del campo. Jorge, quien tiene 20 años de edad, está en la marina. Estuvo unos 13 meses en Viet Nam y apenas ha terminado un mes de licencia. "Fueron unos 13 meses- muy dificultosos. Tuvimos que caminar mucho, sufrir bajo ten siones y condiciones duras. Pero tuvimos que hacerlo," comentó Jorge, "y estoy contento de haber contribuido al esfuerzo total." En Viet Nam, Jorge sufrió de malaria dos veces por un mes y medio, cada vez. Por sus servicios en Viet Nam Jorge recibió la Medalla Expedicionaria y la de De fensa Nacional. El lunes pasado, después de un mes de licencia, lo cual pasó pis cando en los campos, Jorge fue mandado al Campo de Pendleton en California donde recibirá más entrenamiento. Tino, quien tiene 21 años de edad, ha estado en la armada aérea por tres años con unos once meses más para servir.
