Lots o f people — action — fun.
It was an open house last Saturday
afternoon at Eola Village. In addi­
tion to the 200 children and adults
from the Village who participated,
about 75 people from McMinnville
and surrounding areas joined the
festivities.
The action began w ith a sack
race and a three-legged race, and
the winners received ribbons.■'Har­
old Alder of the University of Ore­
gon was in charge.
Next on the program was a teem
age band, the Insane Ravings. The
band had four members, Steve
Davis of McMinnville on bass gui­
tar- .Dick Wincherner of McMinn­
ville on drums, Ray Garcia of Eola
Village on lead guitar, and vocalist
Joe Hernandez of Eola Village. The
band played three popular num­
bers. Then they were joined by
Miss Gwen Anderson and Miss
Irene Hurst, who sang "As Tears
Go By."
Next came the fashion show. Six
girls participated, all of them resi­
dents of Eola Village. They were
Deonna Wolfingbarger, Patricia
Queen, Barbara Parkison, Kay Hen­
drickson, Mary Parkison and Peggy
McDaniel. They modeled casual

tarde- el encampamento -de Eola
abrió sus puertas. Además de los
200 niños y adultos del encampa­
mento quienes asistieron, unas 75
personas de McMinnville y los al­
rededores se reunieron en esas fes­
tividades.
El programa principió con la tra­
dicional carrerra de sacos y la de
tres pies, y los vencedores recibie­
ron galardones. Harold Alder de la
Universidad de Oregon estuvo a
cargo.
Luego había una banda de juve­
niles, los "Insane Ravings." La ban­
da era de cuatro miembros, Steve
