In the Independence area last week it was a great event. The Spanish American Organization held a Father's Day dinner at the Indepen dence City Hall, featuring Mexican food. More than 300 people at tended and the S.A.O. took in over $350.00 The dinner began at 6 p.m. and ended at 9. The Women's Auxil iary of the S.A.O. prepared the food, and the men sold tickets, ar ranged the tables, and seated and served the guests. After the din ner there was music and dancing. With the funds they earn they help newly arrived farm worker families get settled. Do they feel that this dinner was a success? "Yes," said one of the members. D. C. A LETTER FROM LORINNE Dear Everyone, Please forgive me for not w rit ing before now. I wanted to be able to tell you my final decision. I suppose I've made it. I've decided to remain in Delaware. I'll have a chance to work with H.S. and at tend school . . . I miss all of you so much, along with my work. I don't think I'll find another group of people as much fun to work with as all of you. I'm not good at making fare well speeches, because of the tears . . . but I want to say "thank you" to all of you for making me so much at home, especially to Ivan and Darlene Wells . . . I'll nev er forget any of you . . . Please thank Sam also . . . I hope the teen club, baseball team and all the activities are pro gressing . . . I would like very much to keep informed . . .
