Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, June 6 *There was a disturbance in the 100 block of Pinewood Way at 9:23 a.m. A screaming ex-boyfriend jumped a 10-foot chain-link fence and chest-bumped his ex-girlfriend, knocking the breath out of her. She tried to get away from him because he was menacing her with an orange-handled machete. The tyrant was wearing a white t-shirt with the word “O’Neil,” navy-blue shorts with bleach stains and suede ankle boots when he left in a little red car. This was the same creep that stole her children’s quad four months ago, then taunted her about it. The woman found out who he sold it to, and was trying to get it back. The Safe House Alliance is assisting her with pursuing restraining and stalking orders. *The sale of a home in the 300 block of S. Kerby Avenue closed escrow weeks ago, but the previous owners had not vacated the premises. The tenants-to-be were upset because they only had two days before they would be evicted from their current home. By 10:36 a.m., the civil matter was handled in a civil manner, and all parties agreed there would be no more problems... that day. *A suspicious vehicle was last seen headed south in the 5400 block of Westside Road at noon. (What would a vehicle be suspicious of?) *Less than an hour later, a stolen vehicle was pursued and recovered in a field in the 6700 block of Westside Road. The car thief had a half-moon shaped tattoo on his upper back, with the words “White Pride.” The owner of the car recovered his two boxer dogs that went along for the ride. William Glen Eaves, 36, was detained at the Josephine County Jail on charges of felony elude, attempted misdemeanor elude, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (UUV). Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS) had two warrants for failure to appear for possession of heroin. Last but not least, there were two JCSO supervisory authority warrants for parole violation. (So much for White Pride.) *Lake Selmac was patrolled at 1:25 p.m. *A ruckus was arising again in the 300 block of S. Kerby Avenue at 2:30 p.m. Apparently the former owners were stripping everything out of the house, including the toilets. The vacant residence was empty at 4:38 p.m. Literally. *At 2:54 p.m., a man tried to help a woman who was being kicked by a loose cannon at 195 Hogue Drive. The bully left in a red GMC truck with a white stripe on the side. (To match the yellow one down his back.) *A passenger was conscious and breathing, but suffered head and back contusions after falling from the back of a pickup truck, a couple of miles up Illinois River Road at 5:49 p.m. Outside the Valley *Nine calls logged. Tuesday, June 7 *The tenant-to-be was back at the 300 block of S. Kerby Avenue at 9:48 a.m., refusing to leave until someone gave her money for an apartment, repairs for her car, and whatever else. The mother of five was upset because her eviction was imminent, and she was giving away her things for free. She was advised that her eviction was a separate issue from the eviction on S. Kerby Avenue, which would still need to follow the formal eviction process. *A woman said she was at a restaurant in O’Brien June 4 when another woman made threatening remarks to her, then assaulted her with her fist. When the punched woman showed her the baseball bat that she carried for protection, the other female said that she would shoot her the next time she saw her. A stalking order will be filed. *Dispatchers received an email at 11:42 a.m. from Caves Hwy. reporting a violent and unpredictable, felonious-behaving criminal with a weird, demonic voice who had just been released from jail. The frustrated emailer was very disappointed that this swindler continues to manipulate and prey upon people, yet she is never held accountable for her actions. *A couple of people were cited for possession of marijuana on Eight Dollar Road at 12:13 p.m. *At 2:49 p.m., an alert citizen in the 26500 block of Redwood Hwy. thought he saw the suspect from the shooting in Jubilee Park. The caller reported that the suspicious character was wearing the same hat and riding the same bicycle as the Jubilee Park gunman. The suspect in that case has already been identified and arrested. Outside the Valley *Twenty situations. Wednesday, June 8 *A lady living on Squaw Mountain Road met someone from the Salem/Portland area on the dating site www.meetme.com. The two had a disagreement, but the guy persisted in calling, texting, leaving messages and harassing her. (Online dating = The odds are good, but the goods are odd.) When the woman phoned Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) for assistance, they suggested she block him. Her other option was to contact her cell phone provider to see what they could do to help. *Someone was a little too jubilant in Jubilee Park, drinking and yelling at people at 11:05 a.m. The joker had moved on to spread cheer elsewhere by the time law enforcement arrived. *Two dogs, a pit bull and a golden retriever, have been roaming the neighborhood in the 5600 block of Deer Creek Road. WHERE’S THE ALARM? 4300 blk DICK GEORGE RD, Lift Assist The volunteers and staff of the 500 blk W RIVER ST, Medical Emergency Illinois Valley Fire District Responded to these recent Emergency calls Monday - 6/6/16 ARROWHEAD DR / REDWOOD HWY, Power Line Problems 800 blk EIGHT DOLLAR RD, Fire Assist to Public ILLINOIS RIVER RD / REDWOOD HWY, Traffic Accident REDWOOD HWY / LAUREL RD, Traffic Accident 300 blk S KERBY AVE, Medical Emergency They reportedly attacked two goats, killing one of them, and the canines killed another neighbor’s chicken. The goat-tender wanted animal control to take photos for documentation so that he could dispose of the goat, but there was no one available. *A technophobe in the 6200 block of Deer Creek Road was concerned about identity theft. Her computer had a virus, and she thought she was allowing a Microsoft technician access to fix her computer after a popup message appeared on the screen. She was advised to unplug her computer, and she was given an incident number for her credit reporting company. *Shady people were being watched in the 200 block of Shadowbrook Drive at 12:38 p.m. *At 1:29 p.m., a 2001 silver-colored Mitsubishi Eclipse was reported missing from the Illinois Valley High School during graduation ceremonies. The graduate’s wallet and insurance card were in the glove box, and there were no license plates because the vehicle had not yet been registered. A couple of minutes later the scholar had located his car. *Another patrol on Shadowbrook Drive at 3:13 p.m. *An ADT alarm was triggered at 3:39 p.m. in the 1200 block of Laurel Road. *At 3:59 p.m., an attempt was made to deliver a restraining order (RO) in the 100 block of Norman Road. *An RO was served at 4:55 p.m. in the 500 block of Beebe Drive. extinguishing the flames, neighbors came onto the property and harvested marijuana plants. (Can’t we all just get a bong?) *A secret witness reported seeing someone with a firearm in a multi-colored Scion in the 400 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 1:21 p.m. The address of an Oregon licensed driver was matched to the location of the fire in the 6500 block of Caves Hwy. *Firefighters again enlisted the aid of JCSO, this time for a different kind of grass fire in the 1400 block of Draper Valley Road at 2:14 p.m. A hostile individual locked the firefighters out of the location. *The driver of a small white- colored car ran into a neighbor’s porch in the 24500 block of Redwood Hwy. at 3:10 p.m. The hit-and-run driver was described as very slender, approximately 5-foot- 6, with short black hair, and in his early 20s. The car has a shattered window on the passenger side. (Can’t imagine why?) Outside the Valley *At 2:18 p.m., a red station wagon broke down and was blocking one lane of traffic in the 8100 block of Deer Creek Road. The caboose that couldn’t was towed back home to the 7100 block of Deer Creek Road, thanks to Jerry’s Towing Company. * Seventeen log entries. Thursday, June 9 *An employee inadvertently triggered a Securitoss alarm in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 9:27 a.m. *Law enforcement wondered why their presence was requested for a structure fire in the 6500 block of Caves Hwy. at 11:55 a.m. Turns out while firefighters were Thursday - 6/9/16 Outside the Valley *Twelve incidents. Friday, June 10 *Two people were cited for failure to pay campground fees at the Store Gulch Campground at 2:16 p.m. They were also cited for “fooks,” according to the logs, but that could be either a typo or unknown abbreviations. (No fooking idea.) *Eight Dollar Road was patrolled at 2:52 p.m. Outside the Valley *Eleven listings.
