M&M Photography open in Siletz; owners strive to take it beyond the camera Studio offers special discounts this month By Natasha Kavanaugh Michelle McKibben and Mandi Smith, both of Siletz, have opened a photography studio in town. McKibben is married to Nick McKibben and has three ambitious little boys, Kayden, Justin and Brandon. She works at Siletz Valley School. Smith is married to Siletz Tribal member Damn Smith and has two pro ductive little girls, Kylee and Maisy. She works at Coca Mocha Joe’s in Newport. Both women have been interested in photography for many years. They say that taking it to this new level was one of the best choices they've made, making families smile and making many new friends along the way. “In watching our children learn and grow and capturing moments in time, we both realized that we wanted to take photog raphy to the next level. We wanted to give others the experience that we would want to have, capture the same moment that we would want to remember,” say Smith and McKibben in their promotional materials. “We do not want you sit and smile for the camera, we want you being you. Babies laughing, crying or sucking on his/ her binky, toddlers jumping up and down or playing with his/her favorite toy. On ............... your wedding day, we don’t want you to pose for us or drag you away from your friends and family. We want to capture you interacting with them, laughing and joking, showing real love between you and your spouse. Please allow us to be a part of capturing your moments in time.” Sessions at M&M Photography are available by appointment only, Monday through Saturday. They include portraits of family, pets, landscapes, school sports, weddings, babies, engagements, senior, school, maternity, outdoor portraits and other studio options.
