M&M Photography open in Siletz; owners strive to take it beyond the camera
Studio offers special
discounts this month
By Natasha Kavanaugh
Michelle McKibben and Mandi
Smith, both of Siletz, have opened a
photography studio in town.
McKibben is married to Nick
McKibben and has three ambitious little
boys, Kayden, Justin and Brandon. She
works at Siletz Valley School.
Smith is married to Siletz Tribal
member Damn Smith and has two pro
ductive little girls, Kylee and Maisy. She
works at Coca Mocha Joe’s in Newport.
Both women have been interested in
photography for many years. They say
that taking it to this new level was one of
the best choices they've made, making
families smile and making many new
friends along the way.
“In watching our children learn and
grow and capturing moments in time, we
both realized that we wanted to take photog
raphy to the next level. We wanted to give
others the experience that we would want
to have, capture the same moment that we
would want to remember,” say Smith and
McKibben in their promotional materials.
“We do not want you sit and smile
for the camera, we want you being you.
Babies laughing, crying or sucking on his/
her binky, toddlers jumping up and down
or playing with his/her favorite toy. On
...............
your wedding
day, we don’t want you to
pose for us or drag you away from your
friends and family. We want to capture
you interacting with them, laughing and
joking, showing real love between you
and your spouse. Please allow us to be a
part of capturing your moments in time.”
Sessions at M&M Photography are
available by appointment only, Monday
through Saturday. They include portraits
of family, pets, landscapes, school sports,
weddings, babies, engagements, senior,
school, maternity, outdoor portraits and
other studio options.
A one-year family membership for
a family of five is $40 or sitting fees are
$ 15 per person. You can add your family
pet for an additional $10. M&M requires
that a deposit be made when scheduling
an appointment.
On May 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. they
will offer a discount day for those booking
a session on that day. Discounts include 10
percent off high school senior packages,
$5 off a family membership or sitting fees,
engagements will include a free 11 -by-14

Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary to
Kristi and Bristo Bayya!
Feb. 14,1987
Thank you to everyone who joined
us on March 31 to celebrate Kristi and
Bristo’s 25th wedding anniversary. It
was a very fun and exciting event and
I was glad to see everyone!
I cannot thank Frank Aspria,
Bonnie Petersen, Miguel Bransford
and Janice Smith for all of their mas
terful skills in making this party suc
cessful. Thank you to Kayla Selsic for
helping me with the beautiful engraved
cake topper - you saved me! Thank
you to Tami Miner and Peggy Medina
- without you both during the week
before the party it would have been
uneventful and full of stress! Laughing
is the best medicine!
A special thank you to my Auntie
Shelley (Beanie) Selsic not only for
your help, but also for your support in
planning and getting the party done.
Knsti and Bristo Bayya
This party was a dream and you helped
make it come true.
You are all my “party champions”
and words cannot express how appre
ciative I am for all of your help in
making this such a special day for me
and my family!
Thank you!
Kelley Ellis
