Tribal Court Survey
Do you want to help evaluate the
Siletz Tribal Court?
An evaluation of the Siletz Tribal
Court is under way by Judge Mary
Deits, retired chief judge of the Oregon
Court of Appeals, who has contracted
to conduct an independent evaluation
of the Tribal Court.
Judge Deits has prepared a survey
form and is inviting anyone who has
used the Siletz Tribal Court to complete
the survey. It’s an anonymous vehicle
that Judge Deits will use as part of her
evaluation of the court. The deadline

At our first spokesperson meeting
of 2007, we asked for and received
some great input on what spokesper­
sons would like in the area of training
sponsored by Tribal Court. We will
implement these suggestions as time
and funding permit throughout the year.
We are thinking creatively on how
we can make our trainings interesting,
informative, inexpensive, and success­
ful. Continuing ideas are appreciated.
