Lillie E. Butler, and Delores A. Pigsley were re elected to the Tribal Council of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians in elections held Feb. 3. "The incumbents were overwhelm ingly supported by the tribal member ship." said Pigsley, "in spite of a couple of recent negative news articles. Tribal members showed great confidence in the Tribal Council. This is the highest turnout we've had and we were elected by the largest majority ever." Lane, from Siletz, Ore., was re elected with 426 votes; Butler, also from Siletz, received 412; and Pigsley. from Keizer. Ore., received 405. This is the first time that all three candidates selected received more than 400 votes each. Twelve candidates ran for the three open positions and the three who received the most votes were elected. These individuals will serve with Robert Kentta of Logsden, Ore.; Philip W. Rilatos Sr. of Waldport. Ore.; and Loraine Y. Butler of Siletz, whose terms expire in 2008; and Reggie Butler Sr., of Siletz; Jessie Davis of Keizer; and Alfred “Bud” Lane HL Delores A. Pigsley, Frank Simmons, and Philip W.
