CHINOOK WINDS CASINO RESORT Come on Get Happy with David Cassidy Candi LaBonte LaBonte Joins Protégé Program Candi LaBonte is one of three proteges to enter the Mentor/Protege Program with Chinook Winds Casino Resort and Golf Resort. Candi began her employment with Chinwk Winds as a buffet runner in No vember 1999. In 2(X)I, she was promoted into the steward supervisor position. When the opportunity came up, Candi applied and was successfully se lected as one of our top candidates for the Mentor/Protege Program She started the program in the Human Resources Department at Chinook Winds Casino Resort on June 5, 2006. Candi was born in Roseburg, Ore., to Crystal Curl and Earl LaBonte. She attended Taft High School and received her GED in 1996. She began cosme tology school soon after and is con tinuing to look at higher education. The Protégé Steering Committee feels that Candi’s tenure with Chinook Winds will serve as an asset to her throughout the program. During her protégé training, Candi will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to suc ceed in the gaming and hospitality in dustry, and to help form future man agement teams at Chinook Winds. His 2(X)4 CD. Then And Now, was in the top five and reached platinum status. In spite of his superstar recording ca reer, Cassidy still thinks of himself as an actor first. In addition to The Partridge Family, he also appeared on the highly rated Police Story during its seven-year run, which earned him an Emmy nomi nation as Best Dramatic Actor. David Cassidy He starred in the original produc tion of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and in 1996 Cassidy went to Las Vegas and starred in EFX, which under his creative di rection became the most successful production in Las Vegas. July 2006 Bob Golub is the poster child for realizing the American dream. He grew up as a poor kid in a family of 10 and by sheer determination and drive became a headlining comedian and movie actor. His array of appearances includes Evening at the Improv to a role in Martin Scorsese’s 1990 blockbuster film Goodfellas. Golub developed and produced the first stand-up comedy for the deaf and hard of hearing. His fund-raiser every year has collected more than $1 million for the League for the Hard of Hearing in New York. He is known as one of the most unique comics working today, is featured in national commercials, Chris Strait became enamored with the art of stand-up comedy at an early age. Fate, however, would have to wait for middle-class obligations. Strait had to fail at many jobs before finding his comic talent. He has been referred to as a “comic encyclopedia” as well as a social commentator. He headlines at clubs all over the country and has appeared on such TV shows as MTV, Game Show Network, and National Lampoon's Lost Reality 2.
