It’s Happening at Chinook Winds in July Little Anthony & The Imperials Bring Musical Legacy Little Anthony & The Imperials has begun to take concert stages by storm once again. Officially re uniting in early 1992, the group had not performed to gether for more than 17 years, yet the magic returned im mediately. This suc cessful reunion al- ready has brought the group to sold-out appearances at concert halls through out the U.S., including Madison Square Garden in New York and the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. The group recently was honored as a recipient of the Rhythm & Blues Foundation’s Fourth Annual Pioneer Award, and was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame Museum in Sharon, Penn. It just now is receiving long overdue recognition of its artistry and lifelong contributions to rhythm and blues music. The group’s first record was a double-sided ballad smash. The “A” side, Tears On My Pillow, instantly launched its career into musical history. This would be one of its biggest-selling hits, with more than 1 million copies sold. It remains one of the most enduring love ballads of the ’50s. The flip side hit, Two People In The World, made this one of the most popular double-sided ballad records in vocal group history. The group went on to record several more huge hits, including, Shimmy, Shimmy Ko-Ko Bop, Hurts So Bad, I Miss You So, and Take Me Back. Little Anthony & The Imperials are proud to announce its newest CD release, Pure Acappella, a soulful collection of doo wop and pop classics. Having already sold a million records worldwide, Little Anthony & The Imperials’ Pure Acappella is an amazing new chapter in an already incredible musical legacy.
