Tyrone, Trish, Donovan, and Baby A Rain Kind Of Day • by Eva • Clayton It rained so hard last night it took the morning rain away. A good ole northwestern foot-stomping rain dance. A bit of early morning blue came shining through, but was quickly replaced by wind-blown clouds. It looks to be a rain shine kind of day. Indoor chores, a warmer jacket to run that errand. I find that no matter what gets thrown at you, with a bit of creativity and a good mind set, you’ve got the pitch witch on the run! After the fast pace of the holidays, January is when I commit to my new year resolutions. The list seems to be getting larger as I (mature). Does anyone ever accomplish 1-5 on this list? I try to put more important to the front, better odds. My children have to laugh at what was once their room. Revamped into an office, later a computer room. Let’s be honest, Jim will love this (my junk room). There I said it! Everything gets thrown into this room. You know, for rainy day sort-outs. Company coming, stash it in the (room), I’ll deal with it later kind of thing. Surely, I am not the only one with junk drawers, a bit of this a bunch of that. Bulging closets, that extra room with a padlock on the door. By the time you locate the key, the urge to hose the room out has passed you by. I (was) headed for the junk room. Carefully peeking in, how can worldly treasures turn to junk? Dust collectors, space robbers. Overwhelming piles of clutter trails. This room has to be dissected in layers! My conclusion, (baby steps), I’ve got a priority matter going on elsewhere, of course. Come spring, I’ll have my room back, let’s see, was this resolution number 4 or 15. Everyone, please remember to vote. It matters. January 2002 Also, Happy Birthday to Avery Perkins on Jan. 3! You’re the best grandson! I love you very much!
