Veteran singer Beryl Davis, who performed with the legendary Glenn Miller Orchestra during the war years, will take the stage with Ted Herman and his Orchestra. They will perform those Swing-era sounds we remember so well recalling a time when the nation laughed, cried, and danced amidst joy, sorrow and fevered hope for final victory. Beryl Davis, daughter of band leader Harry Davis and his lead singer, was discovered in London by Glenn Miller who enlisted her I Tribal I.D. Machine Lisa Norton will be bringing the Tribal - I.D. machine to the Portland Area Office oh the following date: June 16,1998 2:00-6:00 PM to sing with his highly acclaimed Army Air Force Orchestra. Over the years she has performed with die Glenn Miller Orchestra, Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, Vaughn Monore and David Rose and His Orchestra. Her rendition of "I'll Be Seeing You" has become her vocal trademark and is always dedi cated to the memory of Major Glenn Miller, whose tragic death i a plane crash during the war stunned the world. Ted Herman and His Orchestra are masters at that unique " B ig Band" sound that has never really lost its appeal. Today, a whole new generation is discovering its charm. Having worked with the biggest names in entertainment, including Harry James, Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Henry Mancini, Nelson Riddle, Sammy Davis, Jr„ Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Elvis, and Liza Minelli, Ted brings a rare combination of absolute professionalism and an infectious passion for the music to every performance. For the past two seasons, the Ted Herman Orchestra has performed to rave reviews and sell-out audiences each week during the highly-acclaimed "America Swings!" series at Fantasy Springs Casino in the Palm Springs area.
