Maybe this time will be differen Yet another term has started at Clackamas Commu nity College and this is the term in which new Associ ated Student Government officers are chosen. Last year's campaign was filled with promises of student government growing up. Well it did grow up. With very few exceptions, this year's student govern ment has been as boring as the real thing. At least last year's body had some voices of dissention in it. There has been dissention in this year's student gov ernment but for the most part the senate has been a pack of sheep that follows whoever exerts the most authority. Last year's campaign also showed that elections can be held without the benefit of a forum for candidate! to face the students head on. There will be a forum this time around so the students will have moretogo on than posters with meaningless phrases on them, The idea of a forum has been tested once this year already. During the senate elections one was held in which a total of six out of 22 student senate nomine« participated. Hopefully, this time around the candidates will participate more fully. In spite of last year's farcical election of officers some good people were chosen. The problem is thatit was more by accident than anything else.
