Carstetter, Rt 1. Cottage Grove, was fined $500 and had his operator's and chauf feur's licenses suspended for six months after being found guilty on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol in the local Municipal Court Thursday. Carstetter collided with a car driven by Mrs. Richard Chambers. .308 N. Sth. at the intersection of Highway 99 and Whiteaker Ave Thursday a.m. Neither Carstetter nor Mrs. Chambers were injured, but Mrs. John W Petty, 425 N. 9th. a passenger in Mrs. Cham ber's car, was thrown against the windshield and suffered a slight concussion. She was taken to the Cottage Grove hospital by ambulance and was released Friday. Carstetter turned onto the high way from Whiteaker Ave. into the' northbound lane, colliding with Mrs. Chambers, who was travelling north. Liquor Board Selling Prohibited by OLCC Liquor representatives have been notified by the Oregon liquor control commission that they are expected to comply strictly with those provisions of Regulation 10 which prohibit them from entering liquor stores or agencies to fur ther the sale of their brands of merchandise. The regulation was relaxed somew hat in 1953 due to the advent of liquor by the drink, and salesmen were allowed to acquaint liquor stores personnel and agents with their products, although no sampling was permit ted.
