School Crisis
The school problem is a challenging one, but it must be
met because the young are the first line of defense against
world turmoil, if the schools do a training job.
Voters have been far sighted thus far. They have nev

Liquor Board Selling
Prohibited by OLCC
Liquor representatives have
been notified by the Oregon liquor
control commission that they are
expected to comply strictly with
those provisions of Regulation 10
which prohibit them from entering
liquor stores or agencies to fur
ther the sale of their brands of
merchandise. The regulation was
relaxed somew hat in 1953 due to
the advent of liquor by the drink,
and salesmen were allowed to
acquaint liquor stores personnel
and agents with their products,
although no sampling was permit
ted.
Th«> present regulation now al
lows liquor representatives to visit
liquor stores and agencies only as
customers.
