They defeated their op ponent Disston by a score of 11- W. Gertrude Gerstner was captain of the team, which consisted of the following players: Patty Wed- del, Sharon Whitman. Sandra Cranmer, Patty Vaughn. Shirley Ann Johnson. Shirley Goddard, Joyce Weddel, and Berna Mae Jones. Suhs were Linda Cranmer, La-Vina Ericksen, Karen Martin, Deanna Goddard, Margie Casteel, Joyce Plueard and Shirley Ray mond. The Culp Creek boys team was a little unfortunate. They played Disston and won by a score of 31 to 10 in the first game but were defeated by Lyons by a score of 7 to 5 and took second place in . the tournament. Those playing on the team were Donald Maitin, Jimmy Ratliff, i Lynn Brightwell, Larry Violette, Gary Cooper, Darrell Kelly, Tru- man Dean, Mack Roundsville, Robert Owen.
