Culp Creek girl’s softball team
won first place in the Lane county
third class tournament held at
Colin Field in Eugene Satuiday,
May 16. They defeated their op
ponent Disston by a score of 11-

Gertrude Gerstner was captain
of the team, which consisted of
the following players: Patty Wed-
del, Sharon Whitman. Sandra
Cranmer, Patty Vaughn. Shirley
Ann Johnson. Shirley Goddard,
Joyce Weddel, and Berna Mae
Jones. Suhs were Linda Cranmer,
La-Vina Ericksen, Karen Martin,
Deanna Goddard, Margie Casteel,
Joyce Plueard and Shirley Ray

The Culp Creek boys team was
a little unfortunate. They played

to 10 in the first game but were
defeated by Lyons by a score of
7 to 5 and took second place in
