Eugene Register: Quite a number of people in Eugene and in other sections of the county have re quested Alta King, former city re corder aud police judge, now operat ing a collection agency here, to ac cept the democratic nomination for district attorney, but he said yes terday that he has no intention of quitting his business to accept a po litical office. “I quit the recorder’s office in order that I might establish a busi ness for myself, ’’ said Mr. King, “and I haven’t the remotest idea | of giving up my business for a lot of grief which I know is attached. to the office of district attorney.’’ Engraved work.
