Alta King Declines to Run.
Eugene Register: Quite a number
of people in Eugene and in other
sections of the county have re­
quested Alta King, former city re­
corder aud police judge, now operat­
ing a collection agency here, to ac­
cept the democratic nomination for
district attorney, but he said yes

quitting his business to accept a po­
litical office.
