12 community june28 2011 Neighbors Meet to Map Their Neighborhood Rose City Motorcycle Club Delivers Food to Vernonia Cares North 2 nd Street Neighbors in St. Helens joined in a “pilot program” entitled “Map Your Neighborhood – MYN” at the home of Diane Dillard. The educational program is sponsored by Oregon Citizen Corps with the mission of Building and Strengthening Disaster Readiness Among Neighbors. Kathleen Hendrickson and Diane Dillard volunteered to become the neighborhood coordinators assisted by Fire Chief Jay Tappan, who invited local residents to meet for a program introduction. Other presenters included Anne Parrott, Public Health Emergency Preparedness coordinator and CERT team members under the leadership of Holly Haebe and Nancy Harwood.
