Page Five New Plan to Realign Oregon's Counties Advanced by Dr. Smith EUGENE, Ow. a new plan lor re alignment of Oregon counties, which would cut the number from 36 to seven, and change them from politi cal units to those based on natural and economic fnctcrs. Is proponed by two University of Orogon experts, Dr Warren D. Smith, professor of geo graphy, and Alfred h. bo max, profes sor of business administration, In an article published In the current Is sue of the Commonwealth Review, university publication. The article Is the first of a series which will present the results of an extensive study made by the two faculty members on this subject.
