Cleaver, formerly of this city, who, with Mr. Cleaver, was the houtitj uest of Mr, and" Mrs, Warren Gilbert was the inspiration for a charming afternoon event at vhtch Mrs, Gilbert entertained yesterday at 3:30 o'clock at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Cleaver left today for Spokane where they will visit Mr. and Mi. E. P. McPadden, former La Granders, before returning to their home In Moscow,- Idaho. Conversation was enjoyed by a group of -Mrs. Cleaver's friends and refreshments were served by the hostess. ' Guests were Mrs. H. Presbyterian Aid In Special Meet Miss Eileen Morelock and Miss Beatrice Warden, teachers in the La Grande public schools, described their recent trip to the Century of Pro gress exposition at Chicago Wednes day afternoon when the Presbyterian Ladles Aid held a special meeting at 2:30 o'clock at the church.
