Notwithstanding the luteness of the
summer season in Oregon during
the current year, the June record of
registrations of 4ouiint car a Trom
other stutes shows a decided in
crease over the sumo month In
previous years, says a statement to
day by Secretary of Htate Kozer.
During the month there were 13,
897 curs from other states regls-
tered at the several stations In Ore
gon, brlnglng.the total for the year
far to 34,831, Ah in previous

State records show that during
May 12,210,704. 2 gallons of gaso
line were solU in Oregon, an In
crease of nearly 1,500,000 gallons
over the name month last year. The
tax on motor vehicle .fuels for May
aggregated $386,310.82 bringing the
total received by the Hecretary of
Htate from this source during the
first five months of this year up to
$1,477,264.93. The total gasoline
tux In 11)27 was $1,307,161. 3u. The

that the receipts by December 31
will exceed last year by $400,000.,
