This ex tra charge on the grandstand seats was placed, according to the man agers of the two teams, for the purpose of paying for the stands and the accommodation of funs, who because at the present time are filled by boys and others who would just as soon fit In the bleach ers. A more satisfactory method of handling the umpires Is expected to result1 from' a motion which was j passed placing ine supervision ami handling of the league arbrlters in the hands of President Schroeder. The plan calls for but a single um pire at each game but tills man will be on the regular payroll and will not be a resident, of any of the towns In the league.
