The pumper tends to inereuse the available pressure while the present gravity system loses force from hydrant tun to tho noxalti of thts hose. The plan of tapping the Irriga tion diteh that runs beneath the tilley between Jefferson and Adams u ven ties by means of manholes would provide mi utmost unlim ited supply of water for the pumper for combatting fires in the business district.
