The British, dirigible R-34, en route from Scot land to, the IJnitcd Slates,- was head .ed fer-Boston tonight, where she will replenish her fast-diminishing sup plies of hydrogen and gasoline before completing her scheduled trip to Min eola. After a day of buffeting by high winds, lost for part of the .time in fl dense fog' and' driven out of her. course' to avoid a severe electrical storm, the R-34 reported herself at ll-iiiO p. m. nearing Boston narDor ami flying over the water. Her position id approxi mately 170 miles northeast of liostan and at her present 'rate of speed the dirigible should reach Boston, about 6:00 a. In. If no great delay is ex perienced in obtaining hydrogen and fuel, ajid barring mishaps in landing, the airship should reach Mineola to morrow afternoon. WASHINGTON, July 5. The R-34 reported to the Navy Department at 11:09 tonight that she was 170 miles northeast of Boston and slowly mak ing her way over the open sea. 'The following message was received from tho R-34 at 11:211. p. m.; ''Flying. 1500 feet above sea. Come out and meet us. 'Slaking for Boston. Rush. Very short of gasoline." At? 1:29 a. m., Sunday, -the naval communications, officer received the following direct from tlic vessel: "Will land Montauk Pojiit. Report time later.'" NEW YORK, July 5.
