I The new school house is rapidly ; nearing completion and is a fine show- ' ing for the neighborhood. Miss Minnie Drumsmith had an opperation for appendicitis at Hot Lake recently by Dr. Thy. . It was ! quite a serious operation, but at the last report she was feeling as well as could 'be expected. The Red Cross and Get Together Club members met at the home of Mrs. Chas. Qrandy Tuesday after noon. There aro three thrash ers in the neighborhood and all are doing excellent work. The mew gas engine of Buckman and Wells arrived from Portland Saturday and will soon be in use. They had to start this season's run with the old one as this engine was delayed for several day!. Miss Francis Ross of Enterpriso is in Imbler for a visit of several days. Sam Ruckman, who was injured by having a horse fall on him a few days ago in the mountains, has had another bad spell. The train ran over a yearling calf of Mrs. Parilla Keefer Friday morn ing.
