siderable endurance, especially on the
part of the young ladies.

time. If there are as many campers
in other sections as there are up here

lated. The dust in the road is very
bad and makes one wish for a gas
mask like the soldiers wear in the
trenches.
Your correspondent has cut most
of his hay but it brought no rain so
far. He now has an idea that there
will be none until there is a complete
change of weather. , .

man are given an opportunity to be seen to their best
advantage.
Reid, who complains that the scenario writers lie awake

two thrilling fistic "encounters in this production, one of

reels it developed into a real fight and it took the entire
force at the Morosco studio to separate the warring fac
tions. The whole incident is so realistic that it is impos
sible to tell where the picture fight left off and the actual
scrap started, but it is all shown on the screen except
where the bystanders interposed. t
Others in the cast supporting the two stars are John
Burton, Eugene Pallette, Florence Carpenter and Henry
A. Barrows.
Miss Stedman is the Paramount star who attended the
"Speed 'Em Up" and appeared recently at the Arcade
Theatre.

The fire started by careless campers
along the Mt. Emily road on Pitts
Hill last week has started up again
after it was supposed to be out It
should be an object lesson to all the
campers, berry pickers, etc. When
the ground is as dry as at present it
is almost impossible to put out a fire
for good. Perhaps if the parties who
were responsible for it were compelled
to watch it until rain has fallen they
would be more careful the next time
