Walter Strfoghara has just pleted the task of having the large plate glass put in the bank building that was broken at the time of the hotel fire. E. S. Norris was in Imbler Friday and took out quite a number of im plements from the Benton Hall build ing. He wll soon have them all moved to La Grande. Bruce Cox was in Imbler Thursday on one of his regular visits. , ,: Wheat has begun to come in at tho local warehouse giving more men employment.. L. L. The reporter has been So busy of late that she has somewhat neglected her duty but promises to do better next time. Mr. Hanks of La Grande wns in Imbler Sunday visiting the L. D. church. ' Lynn Stringham came down from La Grande Saturday for a visit with his father and mother. Mr. Date Conklin of Wallowa is in ilmbler visiting his brother. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Buckman visited h La Grande Saturday. Bud Young of Smith Mountain ar rived Sunday evening to work in the harvest. Chas. Squires has just had a 550 gallon tank of gasoline installed. He now will have no trouble fitting orders. Ted Conklin, Vern Berry, Pat Rol lins and Authur Terman were down from La Grande Tuesday bidding friends a final goodby. Lute Stringham and Walter String ham wont to La Grande Tuesday afternoon to see their sons before they loft on the 9 o'clock train for Portland. Chas. Squires and wife, Frank Martin and wife and Walter West- fall and wife were among those who went to La Grande to see the boys off. John Willy and Mrs. Geo. Buckman wont to La Grande Tuesday to' see tho boys before they left.
